The District Maintenance Engineer plays a vital role in each of MDOT’s six districts. The District Maintenance Engineer is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the district maintenance crews, including in house paving schedules, pothole patching and shoulder repair. During a severe weather event, the District Maintenance Engineer coordinates first response efforts, making sure Mississippi’s highways are free of debris and safe for the traveling public.
